Förderverein Madagaskar Schul- und Kinderbücher e.V.

This association was established exclusively to support the work of Vakoka Vakiteny. All donations are done through this association to make them tax deductible. You can also become a member and receive information about our work every three months. Please visit this page for more information.

                              

The association Eine-Welt-Verein Keniahilfe e.V. in Bühl, Germany has on several occasions generously supported Vakoka Vakiteny, both with donations and practical help. They generously supported the print of Uncle Tefy, Tsingolangola and Madagascar - a living museum.

Hilfe fur Afrika

The association Hilfe für Afrika e.V. in Frankfurt am Main, Germany has donated money for building school library in Madagascar.

Company Heinzmann in Schönau, Germay has donated money for the print of 385 books for Malagasy children on the countryside.

               Endress 

The engineering company Endress+Hauser located in Maulburg, Germany, supported Vakoka Vakiteny with a  significant amount of funding for the print and distribution of Tsingolangola, the book with fairytales from the Bara region in Madagascar.

Albert Schweitzer

The secondary school Albert Schweizer Gymnasium in Gernsbach, Germany has both invited the team of Vakoka Vakiteny to the school and given donations for the development and publishing of books.

Vakoka Vakiteny printed a book for the organization Grønn Hverdag (Green Living) in Stavanger, Norway. The book Ampanirio contains small stories, poems and fairytales about the environment. It was written by children and youth from Antsirabe and distributed among the participating schools. It is not for sale.

The school Sunde skole in Stavanger, Norway has bought books from us for their partner school in Antsirabe and also given donations to Vakoka Vakiteny.

 

The German-French society (Deutsch-Französische Gesellschaft) in Baden-Baden, Germany has made donations and cooperated with us about advertisement about our work.

In 2007/2008, the National Reading Centre (NRC) at the University of Stavanger, Norway, accomplished the project "La joie de lire" - production of modern books for children in Madagascar - with the Edition Vakoka Vakiteny as its national Malagasy partner.

Edition Vakoka Vakiteny Madagascar

Vakoka means something precious, something given by the ancestors and worthy protection. The mother tongue is such a precious thing.

Vakiteny means reading. Good books in mother tongue are a treasure and the valuable base for the development of every modern society.

Vakoka Vakiteny is a young and professional publishing company producing literature for children and youth in Malagasy language, created by Malagasy.
